  1. My apologies….as I am not in any way saying anything negative about this site or high school baseball in general…..rankings like these have little to no validity at all…because teams in the poll will not play each other except on very rare occasion…like Providence and S. Caldwell playing last week….and that final was 17-0…..in favor of Providence….so basically, that means South Caldwell should not be only 8 spots below them in a NATIONAL poll….furthermore, the Florida, Texas, and California high schools will DOMINATE the rest of the country in High School Baseball….period….

  2. The rankings help with the hyping and promoting of the games and the poll standings always look good on paper, but you never what is really going happen until you hit the field and face each in a game…You can pretty much say what you want on paper and in listings, but the true tale of the tape and the reality check is head-to-head competition…I don’t think anyone would have seen that 17-0 win by Providence over South Caldwell coming..I bet South Caldwell did not see it coming until it hit them square in face and on the scoreboard and by then with onslaught like it was, it was way too late to do anything about it..,

Will North Davidson feel the same force from Providence???

Logan Davidson from Providence has been named the Gatorade Player of the Year for North Carolina from the 2016 season….He has 8 HR’s and his batting average is .456 against very good competition and on the mound his record is 10-0….A very good pitcher and hitter…

On the North Davidson-Providence High School 4-A West Championship Series….

North Davidson will host reigning N.C. 4A champion Providence in a best-of-3 regional series that begins Tonight/Tuesday at 7. Providence will host Game 2 later this week. A deciding Game 3, if needed, would follow at North Davidson…..Game Two probably Thursday and Game Three on Saturday….

  3. With all the attention being on the heavyweight title bout in Welcome, don’t forget there will also be a pretty good cruiserweight fight tonight between Ledford and Marvin Ridge as well.
