Game Report on Northwest Guilford-High Point Central Boys Basketball:Bison buy in and “Never-fail” Zab McPhail(27 pts) leads HPC by NWG

HIGH POINT CENTRAL 62, NORTHWEST GUILFORD 58
GAME NOTES:
–In a hotly contested conference game, the Bison of High Point Central were able come away with a 62-58 victory. The Vikings did not execute in crucial times and made only 8 of 28 free throws while High Point Central control the flow of the game and made timely shots. Although Northwest played hard, their effort was not focused in the correct direction at most times and it was obvious that the Bison came to play and were rewarded with the win.
–Jalen Spicer finished with 17 points, 5 assists, and 7 steals. Christian Hampton contributed 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals while Thomas Henningan finished with 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jacob Davis added 7 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
–High Point Central was led by Zab Mc Phail with 27 points.

  1. Northwest needs perimeter shooting in the worst way. NW basically tries to out muscle every team. They were out of control last night. It is amazing how just one missing perimeter player (Tre) makes this much of a difference for a team that is support to be so good. Missing 20 free throws is amazing.

  2. Without Turner, Northwest will lose by at least 20 points to SW this Saturday. I will predicted the final score as SW 83 – NW 60.
