Finals and we will have more on SWG-Glenn, but Kyle Blendinger(Southwest Guilford HS) pitched a three-hit shoutout, with 11 K’s and just one BB in 6 2/3’S Innings to lead SWG over Glenn, 4-0….And at the plate, Blendinger had a Triple, scored a run and drove in a run…More on SEG-Glenn to follow…

Softball Finals:
Southwest Guilford 14, Glenn 13
This might be the game of the Week, the Game of the Month and the Game of the Year, all rolled into one right here…SWG down 6-0 early, and then it was like 8-0 Glenn up until about the 3rd Inning and it really looked like Glenn was going to 10-run SWG and then SWG fought back and went up 10-8 late and then it was tied at 10-10 and then SWG got in front again 12-10 and Glenn then came back and made it 13-12 Glenn, before SWG scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to win the game, 14-13….This was some kind of crazy back-and-forth game and I didn’t see it up close for long, but you could see the scoreboard constantly changing from the baseball stands and you could hear the crowd reacting….On the baseball side at SWG, Kyle Blendinger quieted the opposing crowd from Glenn tonight, and the Bobcats did not have a lot to yell about with the exception of 2 singles off of the bat of Kier Meredith….

Tonight SW Randolph defeated Western Guilford 11-1 in 6 innings. Tera Lewellyn was the winning pitcher, Michaela Stutts was the losing pitcher giving up 2 earned runs while WG’s defense committed 12 errors.
