SUNSET, S.C. – William Harwood posted an even-par 72 and the Elon University men’s golf team completed the second round at the Clemson Invitational on Saturday, April 8, at Cliffs at Keowee Falls.
Elon (309-305–614) bettered its first round score on day two and is placed in ninth heading into the final round on Sunday. The host and No. 18-ranked Clemson is in the lead by five strokes after carding a eight under-par 280 in the second round.
The Highlights
Harwood paced the Phoenix with the lowest individual round of the tournament for an Elon player thus far, carding a 72 in the second round and draining five birdies. He moved into the top-25 and is tied for 21st individually.
Philip Loeb is also in a tie for 21st individually after round two and remains in the top-25 after making three birdies on the day. Charlie May is currently tied for 50th overall after 36 holes.
Jared Mactas completed the second round in a tie for 63rd and Jake Leavitt is tied for 66th individually.

The Phoenix wraps up play with the final round tomorrow, April 9, at the Clemson Invitational and will begin teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
