ELON, N.C. – With CAA Football announcing the 2018 conference schedule today, Nov. 1, Elon University has announced its complete 11-game football schedule for the 2018 season. The Phoenix will play five home games inside of Rhodes Stadium.
Elon will open its 2018 campaign at South Florida on Saturday, Sept. 1. The Phoenix and Bulls have met three times, the last on Sept. 1, 2007 in Tampa, Fla. This will be the second meeting between the two sides that features USF as an FBS opponent.
In week two, Elon returns to Rhodes Stadium for a non-conference date with Furman.
CAA Football play begins the following week as the Phoenix travels to Williamsburg, Va., for a Sept. 15 date with William & Mary.
After a non-league game at Charleston Southern on Sept. 22, Elon hosts New Hampshire on Sept. 29. The maroon and gold then hits the road for games at James Madison (Oct. 6) and Delaware (Oct. 13) before hosting Richmond on Oct. 20.
The month of October closes with the open week before the Phoenix plays two of its three November games at home. Elon will host Rhode Island on Nov. 3 and Towson on Nov. 10. The final week of the season sees Elon travel to Maine for a Nov. 17 contest.
