  1. Who won the game between GDS girls and TBS? I am still trying to figure how in the world GDS let a great coach get away to keep a coach that did not have any varsity head coaching experience. Why is it that the girls program cannot get on the level they should be at what is such a superb athletic school. It is a very big disappointment to so many people and I have to wonder again is it the leadership.

  2. from the Burlington Times-News:

GREENSBORO — Aniyah Vanhook supplied 16 points as The Burlington School defeated host Greensboro Day School 41-29 in non-league girls’ basketball Tuesday.

Oliva Eller added nine points for the visiting Spartans (11-5).

Chloe Brewington and Caroline Wyrick scored eight points apiece to lead Greensboro Day (10-11).

Caroline Wyrick is real good and she is just a freshman, Chloe and Mahlon Brady are seniors so they will lose them, but if Greensboro Day can keep their core group of girls together, this will be a very good team down the road…Very young, but they will get plenty of experience, they are playing a 36 game schedule this year and that will keep you busy…

And yes, I have heard that Aniyah Vanhook, has one heck of a hook shot….Word travels/spreads fast….
