Game Report on Northwest Guilford-North Cross Boys Basketball:NWG improves to (11-2) with Hampton, Reiber and Boulton getting 15, 12 and 11 points in Victory for Vikes(Hampton adds 10 rebounds/10 assists and Reiber with 12 boards)


–Northwest Guilford and North Cross High School faced off in a Saturday noon game at Floyd County High School (VA). The low scoring battle started as a defensive game that was back and forth throughout the first half. Northwest went into the break leading by 5 with a score of 23-18. In the third quarter Northwest extended their lead to 11 with the help of transition baskets and scoring points in the paint. North Cross continued to battle in the fourth quarter but ultimately their efforts fell short as the Vikings prevailed with a final score of 49-38.

–Christian Hampton led the Vikings with a triple double, scoring 15 points with 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Dean Reiber had 12 points and 12 rebounds while Robbie Boulton contributed 11 points of his own. Johnny Pagano had 5 points and Brandon Thomas added 4. Shaq Marsh chipped in 2 points.

–North Cross was led by Baines with 17 points. Hines had 6 points while Johnson and Mack had 5 a piece. Andrew and Etuk had 2 points and Jackson had 1 point.
