  1. Nothing really new, has been around for a while…

Charlotte Catholic, private school playing public and have been for 40-50 years and the Charlotte Catholic Cougars just won their 3rd straight title today, defeating Southern Nash(3-A)…

Cardinal Gibbons private playing public and have been for 20-25 years and Bishop McGuinness private playing public and have been for at least 15 years…

It sort of grows on you and we will probably see more of it, at least the addition of more schools joining the NCHSAA with the wide increase of the Charter schools…Have public fundings, but operate more like private schools in their admission policies…

  2. Private schools aren’t really that good when it comes to football, public schools can usually compete as you see east Forsyth won, private schools are more dominant in basketball
