(All of the Hoppers’ scoring came on the home runs….Four runs on the Grand Slam by Triolo(4), two runs(2) on the two-run homer from Gorski, and one run(2) each on the HR’s, by Koch and Sanchez….

The Hoppers starting pitcher Grant Ford was like a mule, really like a work horse out there on the mound, on Tuesday night…Ford was hot early, just like the game-time temps of 89 degrees, and once Ford got rolling, there was no slowing him down, there was no stopping him/Ford, because he was on a mission….And he delivered….Ford worked six solid innings, giving up No Runs, on three hits, with NO walks, and nine big strikeouts….Ford would be a strong Player of the Game candidate, along with the home run hitting crew of Triolo, Gorski, Koch, and Sanchez….

Colin Selby served as the Hoppers’ finisher/closer on the mound on Tuesday evening…Selby worked three tough innings, allowing No runs, on No Hits, with No walks, and four big strikeouts, from Selby…

A three-hit shutout from the Hoppers’ pitching staff of Ford and Selby, on Tuesday night, and they struck out 13 WS Dash batters, and gave up NO walks whatsoever…

The Hoppers Matt Frazier made two, count them two, great plays on defense in center field…Frazier went up and made one defensive catch, where he appeared to go and pull the ball back into the ballpark, to prevent a home run, and he took a run off of the board, on that play…Frazier made another fine grab/catch when he hauled in a fly ball going toward right center field, and Frazier made the catch and held on while banging into the Lab Corp sign there in the outfield…Frazier was lucky/fortunate to hang on to the ball on that play, and on the other play in center field, Frazier went up and pulled the ball back into the park….
