Heard on Monday from Northern Guilford, and they NG Nighthawks will not be playing Eastern Alamance this Friday night…I think NG is looking for a team/a game to replace Eastern Alamance for this Friday…

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about Grimsley’s opponent on Friday night: Pinecrest?

The game is actually next Friday, Sept. 10. Pinecrest opened the season by beating spring 4-AA finalist Rolesville 40-36 and beat Anson County (home of butthurt Sen. Tom McInnis of HB 91 fame) 48-0. Pinecrest goes to Apex Middle Creek on Friday before its home game against Grimsley. Patriots can score some points and looked decent at the Dudley 7-on-7 in July.
Also, the Eastern Alamance-Northern game will not be played because of Eastern’s COVID-19 issues.
Pinecrest a good team I would not overlook them but I think grimsley wins it.
Dudley grimsley and northern the best around here. First two should make deep runs into playoffs and I think dudley given a realigned 3a gets to the finals at least.
