Page gets a good start on the ground from their running back Maurice Andrews…Andrews with two runs for 30-plus yards combined to start the game…At the helm of the Page offense is QB Nigel Hinson….Christian Brown big early on defense for Page…DK Abram at QB for Western Guilford…Abram having to do a lot of running for WG….Tackles coming from Maurice Andrews and a real BIG tackle from Antonio Rush from Page….Cam Hammie very strong along the defensive line for WG in the first quarter…
End of First Quarter:Page 0, Western Guilford 0
Another BIG tackle from Antonio Rush with the Page Pirates, and we are seeing a flag on almost every play, as we begin the second quarter…Face masks and holding calls, are the order of the night….Jabari Jones makes a couple of BIG tackles for Page, and the Pirates’ back, Maurice Andrews is still running hard for the Pirates, and some are asking if he is the next Trevon Hester??? Amari Jackson grabs a 12-yard pass from Nigel Hinson and Page gets on the scoreboard with this touchdown play…The PAT kick by the Pirates’ Karros is good, and Page takes a 7-0 lead over WG, with 7:11 left to play in the second quarter…Western with waaaaaay too many high snaps to their QB D.K. Abram and that is killing the Hornets chances to move the ball…With that being said, Cam Hammie is still tackling hard for the WG defense….
Eli Williams comes up with a steady two-yard run for the touchdown for the Page Pirates, and after the Karros PAT kick attempt was blocked, Page goes ahead of WG, 13-0, with 2:29 remaining in the second quarter….Page 13, WG 0
Omarion Williams on nice kickoff return for WG…Hornets with good field position, right near mid-field….Jabari Jones with another BIG Page Pirate tackle/hit, and this one is a Tackle for a Loss…

Western Guilford with a new QB, Jemel Ward, to start out the Second Half…Same story for Page with Maurice Andrews on the run on every two-out-of-three plays…Andrews is the center-piece of the Page offense….Cam Hammie still hitting hard for the WG Hornets and leading their defensive efforts…WG got a key pick/interception by Malik and that will peak the Hornets chances to reach the end zone…Western gets a Huge 25-yard run by their QB Jemel Ward and Maurice Andrews is on the stop, with the tackle, for Page….Big pass by Ward to Poteat for the biggest gain from scrimmage on the night for WG….Antonio Rush and Eli Williams combine to come up with a BIG sack of the WG QB Jemel Ward, and the Hornets are out-of-business….Ayden Martin gets a real nice punt return for Page and with that play, the Third Quarter ends with Page on top of WG, 13-0….

Maurice Andrews is on the run again for Page, and he caps off a strong Page scoring drive, with a one-yard run that comes with 6 minutes left in our contest….The PAT kick by Karros was plenty good, and Page now has a commanding 20-0 lead over the Western Guilford Hornets…WG comes up with a Ward to LA McKnight pass play, but here comes Antonio Rush again with a BIG Page Pirate tackle…Page gets a nifty pass deflection from their DB, Myles Sparrow, and here we go…We have a final, Page Pirates 20, Western Guilford Hornets 0….
