Browns make wrong kind of history in loss to the Chargers

Cleveland Browns in record books following Week 5 loss
According to Elias Sports, Cleveland is the first team in NFL history, postseason included, to lose a game after putting up 40-plus points and zero turnovers. It is also the first team to lose a game after tallying 40 points, 500 yards and zero turnovers.

Prior to the Browns’ loss on Sunday, teams that had tallied 40 or more points while not turning it over were 442-0.

This is an absolutely insane stat. It also shows us just how random the NFL can be.

**********The Cleveland Browns entered Sunday’s game having yielded the fourth-fewest points in the NFL. The aforementioned Herbert responded by completing 26-of-43 passes for 398 yards with four touchdowns, hanging 47 on Cleveland in the process. That’s just crazy.

Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns‘ offense had it going big time in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Coming off a disappointing Week 4 performance, Mayfield completed 23-of-32 passes for 305 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Cleveland added a whopping 230 yards and three scores on the ground.

Shockingly, it was not enough to hold off second-year quarterback Justin Herbert and the Chargers. Holding a 27-13 lead early in the third quarter, the Cleveland Browns lost by the score of 47-42. In the process, the team made some unfavorable history.**********
