Reagan opened play in the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic with a resounding 70-27 win over Carver in the first-round game at North Forsyth Monday night. The Raiders forced 38 turnovers & had 12 of its 14 players score enroute to its fifth win in eight starts this season.

After a sluggish start, the top seeds in the WSFCS bracket pulled steadily away from the Yellowjackets with steady defensive pressure & a solid floor game. Jack Leonard, whose 12 points & 16 rebounds anchored the Reagan effort in a 52-50 CPC win Friday at Davie County, again led the winners with game-high totals for points (13) & rebounds (9) while junior center Deuce Ford added nine points and five rebounds in the balanced Raiders’ scoring effort.

Reagan advances to the semi-final round of the Spencer tournament on Wednesday (1:30p) at North Forsyth to face the winner of the South Stokes-West Stokes tomorrow night at 7p at North. The tournament finals are scheduled for Thursday at 3p at North Forsyth.
