North Carolina Fusion, in partnership with the Kernersville YMCA, is proud to offer youth recreational soccer to the Kernersville community and its children from 3-18 years of age starting in the Spring of 2022. NC Fusion has a history of providing quality soccer programming designed to positively impact young players and their parents for life. Awarded the Recreation Program of the Year by the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association, NC Fusion is a natural partner of the YMCA due in large part to similarities in their missions and core values.
NC Fusion CEO Scott Wollaston said: “We have had a tremendous relationship with the Kernersville YMCA over the past 3 years, as many of our competitive teams have been training at the facility and NC Fusion has made several large investments including lights and field improvements. The opportunity to partner with the YMCA on its recreational soccer program is a great next step in the relationship as NC Fusion deepens its core value of Community in Kernersville. On a personal level, as a member of the Kernersville Rotary Club and a participant in the 2022 Leadership Kernersville Class, I have been energized by the tremendous support of the Kernersville community and its belief in the value of youth sport.”
The Kernersville YMCA Executive Director, Chris Booth added: “I speak to people all the time who remember learning how to play a sport at the Y. This partnership will go a long way to ensure that many generations to come will be able to say that they too played at the Y. NC Fusion’s vast infrastructure will most certainly enhance our YMCA soccer program. Participants and their families will see and feel a difference!”
