News on today’s games…The Northwest Guilford Middle School girls game vs. Southeast Guilford was stopped with 3:26 left in the third quarter, with NWG leading SEG, 25-19…The game was stopped due the gym being evacuated because of a potential electrical fire inside the Northwest Guilford Middle School building…

All players, coaches, fans and parents were told to leave the building, and they did….Everyone waited outside for the all-clear signal, but that signal never came, and the games were moved to the Roger Nelson Gymnasium, next door on the Northwest Guilford High School campus….Emergency vehicles are at Northwest Guilford Middle School to check on the potential electrical fire…CLICK ON BELOW…

They got ready to play the girls game, and it was decided since the girls had been waiting outside in the cold for a long time, it might be better to wait and finish the girls game tomorrow/Tuesday at the Northwest Guilford Middle School…Game time for the girls game completion will be 5pm Tuesday….NWG girls leading SEG, 25-19, with 3:26 left in the third quarter…
The NWG Middle School girls were warming up at Northwest Guilford HS…Final from Tuesday afternoon, at NWG Middle School:Northwest Guilford 40, Southeast Guilford 34….We hear NWG and Welborn at playing on Wednesday in the Conference Tournament…At Welborn, at 5pm…

The boys game was played in the Roger Nelson Gym, with Southeast Guilford Middle defeating Northwest Guilford, 54-28…End of First Quarter:SEG 17, NWG 14…Halftime:SEG 22, NWG 20…End of Third Quarter:SEG 44, NWG 26…Final:SEG 54, NWG 28…The SEG defense held NWG to six points in the third quarter, and to just two points in the fourth quarter…SEG held NWG to just 8 points in the second half, out-scoring NWG, 32-8….The SEG Falcon boys remain Unbeaten, now right at 13-0 for the season…NWG now at (9-4)…

  1. Correct NWG girls did have 1 loss, surprise Jamestown and Welborn didn’t play in a non conference game this season

  2. Interesting how an undefeated Welborn is playing Northwest in the first round on the county tournament. Those are literally two of the top 3 teams in the county

  3. Wow maybe you are saying NW should not be a 7th seed and should be higher?
    For me on the girls side, those 3-8 seedings seems a bit odd imho. But i would agree that Jamestown and Wellborn deserve to be one and two.

  4. Agreed the whole seeding thing was just weird. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they did the best they could.
    Based on conference record western and kernodle co champs with the same conference record. Yet western a 3rd seed and kernodle eight. Just a bit too much of a wide gap there.
    Nw should have been three at worst. They only lost to jamestown who was the number one seed.
