HS Hoops Round Two NCHSAA Playoff Scores:Watching NG girls Jazzy, Jadyn and Lizzy staying busy, and making me dizzy/Following Nighthawk boys Jackson, Vance, Manny and Nolan and they got things rollin’

Double-Dip winning night for the Northern Guilford Nighthawks tonight, with the Unbeaten (27-0) NG girls taking down Providence, 67-40, in what was just a two-point lead for the Lady ‘Hawks at halftime, 33-31, but those NG girls turned some heads in the second half, as Jazzy Harris, Jadyn Newsome and Lizzy Gram all ended up having big nights for the Nighthawks…More on them, on the way…Again, Jazzy, Jadyn and Lizzy were staying busy, and making their opponents dizzy on this Nighthawk of a night…

Outstanding ferocious defense turned in by Christian Delisa from the Northern Guilford Nighthawks tonight, and the entire Nighthawk team played super defense in the second half, vs. Providence…Big shot just as the clock was running out last Friday night in the NG-Southwest Guilford girls game, and the shooter of that buzzer-beater was Avery Burnham, and tonight there was a bank shot that beat the buzzer in the first half, and it came from NG’s #11 Jasmine/Jazzy Harris…Very exciting second half effort from NG Nighthawk girls this evening, and they should be home, and they will be playing in Round Three, on Saturday….
#10 Alexander Central girls at #2 Northern Guilford on Saturday…

The Nighthawk boys got things rolling with Jackson, Vance, Manny and Nolan, and that would be Helms, Bolyard, Elliott, and Hodge, and you can’t dodge Hodge, he was coming right the at Huntersville hopefuls for 24 first half points…Big Bolyard got hot in the second half, scoring all 9 of his points after intermission, and in-between, Elliott and Helms did their part to help the home team ‘Hawks earn a 73-63 second round victory

Big sequence late in the game where Vance Bolyard blocked a shot on the defensive end of the court, and then he slammed home a two-handed flush dunk, on the other end of the court…Nolan Hodge was a man, among his youthful peers in the first half, scoring a rousing 24 key points, with this including several rousing dunks….That big four of Hodge, Elliott, Helms and Bolyard was really coming at Hopewell in a big way tonight…..Nighthawk men on to Round Three of the NCHSAA playoffs on Saturday….

  1. Smith boys will be at home sat against North Lincoln. So there will be a double header at Smith sat. Girls vs Enka then boys vs North Lincoln

  2. Yes, got that switched up…Smith coach Derrick Partee said before Thursday night’s game, that ALL Smith fans should get out to the Bob McAdoo Gym and support the Golden Eagles last night, due to the fact that it would be the last home game of the year for the Eagles…That was on Twitter….

Coach Partee probably anticipating his team would have been going to Morganton Freedom on Saturday…And the Smith girls would have been going there too, if Freedom won, but the higher seeded Freedom teams lost…

    Saturday:
Smith girls vs. Enka at TBA
Smith boys vs. North Lincoln at 3:30pm
