CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The N.C. High School Athletic Association will not hold basketball regional championships at centralized neutral sites on Saturday, as been the case in years past.
According to an email from the NCHSAA to schools participating in the fourth round of the playoffs, four high schools in the east and four high schools in the west will host regional championships on Saturday.
In each region, the boys and girls regional championships will be held at a single location. For example, the 1A east boys and girls basketball regionals will be held at one high school, the 2A east boys and girls regionals at another high school, and so on.
