  1. Excellent coach(Coach Kris Britton) and remember when I traveled and followed the Dudley girls basketball team, broadcasting their 3-A Championship victory over Forestview, from Reynolds Coliseum, in Raleigh…The Dudley girls had a nucleus of little Helen Terry, strong guard Breonna Patterson, and forward Desire Drayton…Drayton hit some huge free throws in the second half of that win over Forestview for the State Title….Coach Britton also coached two big centers while at Dudley, and they were Sierra Little and Mekia Valentine…Mekia is now deceased, but Coach Britton pushed those two bigs, and both played basketball while in college….

Some good memories of that day with Dudley there in Raleigh, and on that same day the Northern Guilford boys won the 3-A boys title, but in the end, they had to give it back….
