Hoppers hitters got one hit in Game One…A one-hitter by the Asheville pitching staff, and that one Hopper hit came off of the bat of leadoff man, Yoyner Fajardo…Fajardo goes 1-2, with a BB…Abrahan Gutierrez walked, Ernny Ordonez walked and that was it, for the Greensboro Grasshoppers offense…Will Wagner and Chad Stevens both homered for the Asheville Tourists…Wagner goes 2-3, with the HR, and Stevens was 1-3, and his home run accounted for his Run, and his RBI…

Adrian Florencio got the start for the Hoppers’ pitching staff, and Florencio gave the Hoppers five innings of work, allowing all three Asheville runs, on seven hits, with 1 BB/3 K’s…Florencio gave up the two Tourists home runs, and those two long balls were his undoing…Eddy Yean worked the last inning/the sixth inning, giving 0 Runs/0 Hits/1 BB/1 K…

Hoppers’ hitters…The Greensboro Grasshoppers scored two runs in the fifth, and one run in the sixth inning, to win Game Two of their doubleheader with the home-standing Asheville Tourists…Maikol Escotto(SS) went 1-3, with a Double, plus he scored a run, and drove in a run, from his number nine spot in the Hoppers’ batting order…Hoppers right fielder Jack Herman was 1-2/BB/RBI….Dariel Lopez(2B) goes 1-3/Run….And the final Hopper hit on the night, goes to catcher Endy Rodriguez, who was 1-3/SB on the evening…Greensboro third baseman Eli Wilson, was 0-3, but he scored Greensboro’s third run of the night…Sammy Siani was 0-2, but he drew a walk off of Asheville pitching, and Siani ended up with a stolen base, his eighth of 2022…

The Asheville Tourists’ top hitter in Game Two, was Quincy Hamilton, who went 2-3/Double/HR….

GSO’s winning pitcher Domingo Gonzalez goes six innings for the Hoppers, giving up one run, on three hits, with 2 BB/5 K, and allowed one home run, the Hamilton homer….Cameron Junker worked the seventh inning for the Grasshoppers, 0 Runs, on one hit, with 0 BB’s, and two strikeouts versus Junker, as Cameron picked up his fourth save of the season, on Friday night….
