Caldwell Academy Spring Sports Recap

The following student/athletes from Caldwell Academy participated in a number of sports during the spring season &
received recognition for their accomplishments.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR— Rollins Ortmann— competed in three ( 3 ) sports: Tennis, Basketball & Soccer
Went 14-2 competing in the # 1 Singles spot & 7–3 in the # 1 doubles spot.
Tennis Team MVP,, All-Conference,, All-State, Soccer Team Coach’s Award.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR– Tyler Wood— compete in two ( 2 ) sports:: Soccer & Baseball
All- Region. All-State, All Conference soccer.

TENNIS :: Finished # 2 in STATE NCISAA 2A,, Freddy Ortmann –All Conference & All-State

BASEBALL:: over all record 7W–13L, conference record 3–7,, Seeded # 3 in state NCISAA 2A,
lost in quarterfinals, ranked # 11 out of 30 teams in 2A, # 52 in Greensboro, # 299 in state.
Jacob Trivette– JR– All- Conference

SOCCER:: over all record 6–10-2, conference record 3–8-1,, Seeded # 5 in state NCISAA 2A,
lost in quarterfinals,, ranked # 16 out of 33 in 2A,, # 53 in Greensboro,, # 279 in state.
Maggie Konig– SR — All – Conference

TRACK & FIELD;; Boys finished 11th out of 21 school in NCISAA 2A State meet.
Girls finished 12th out of 18 schools in NCISAA 2A State meet.
