The entire Greensboro Grasshoppers’ pitching staff gave up their share of hits and runs on Saturday night…Hoppers’ staff gave up the 7 runs on 13 hits, with 4 BB’s, and 11 K’S…Starting pitcher Sean Sullivan went 4 1/3 innings, giving up 3 runs, on 7 hits, with 1 BB, and six strikeouts, and he allowed one home run from the Dash…Middle reliever Michell Miliano worked just one inning, and took the loss, while being touched up for three runs on two hits, with 3 BB’s and 2 K’s…Finisher Eddy Yean on for 2 2/3’s innings of work, allowing 1 run on four hits, with 0 BB’s and three strikeouts…
The top WS Dash hitters were Duke Ellis, who went 3-5, with two runs scored while at the plate, plus the Dash’ Oscar Colas was 2-5, with a three-run home run for Winston-Salem…Colas connected off of the Hoppers’ starter Sean Sullivan in the fifth inning, and the Colas blast tied the game at 3-3…
The Hoppers scored one run in each of the first three innings of the game, to lead early 3-0, but Greensboro sees that early lead slip away, and they fall when the Dash score three runs in the sixth inning, and one more in the seventh, to win the ballgame by four runs…
Once the Grasshoppers scored those three runs in the first third of the game, they were totally shut down the rest of the way, in innings 4-9….

Greensboro got a run across in the top of the first inning, when Dariel Lopez blasted a solo home run into the Appalachian Mountain Brew-Pen. The ‘Hoppers got another run in the second, on a Jackson Glenn solo blast over the short wall in right field.
Another run came across in the third for Greensboro.
Sammy Siani punched a single into right field to lead things off, then Lopez picked up a single as well with Siani moving first to third. The very next batter Abrahan Gutierrez drove a ball down the right field line, which was deep enough to plate Siani on a sacrifice fly.
