Talked with Coach Wallace, from Northwest Guilford HS today, and kind of warm out there this afternoon, but the coach said the players are making it all right, right now, but they do have a few kids banged up a little bit, but with practice about set to go full contact, at the end of this week, it’s time for ‘All Vikings to be on Deck”…..
Coach Kevin Wallace talked about his quarterback, junior Tanner Ballou, who now has a full season, as a starter under his belt, and he also mentioned how big a part, BIG Walt Turner would play on this team, both on the offensive and defensive sides of the line…Walt Turner is BIG college prospect, and quite a few schools will be talking to him during the course of the 2022 season, with this being his senior year in high school…Ballou will also start to see some offers come rolling through…
WR Trent Cloud will get DI offers, but he has been banged up some in the early going, and they(Northwest Guilford HS) hope to get him cleared to play in the first game of the season, at East Forsyth…
Another set of very good hands, with great speed for NWG, and that would be, BC…Bristol Carter…Very fast, and has excellent upfield acceleration…
Ryan Debo will give the Vikings a strong defensive presence and he will also see some time as a big RB on offense, with Mike Godette seeing a lot of carries, as a feature running back for NWG…
More key players are mentioned during the course of the conversation, and be sure to check out this video interview…We also got the good word in about Tre Turner(I think I said he was with the LA Raiders, but Tre is with the Las Vegas Raiders), and Thomas Hennigan(Minnesota Vikings), who are currently in NFL training camps…
Lots to listen to on this special preseason chat with Northwest Guilford HS head football coach Kevin Wallace, and one thing that didn’t make it to the video show, was me suggesting to Coach Wallace that NWG get Grayson Holland on board the team, as a Northwest Guilford HS wide receiver…That is just me, I would really like to see what Grayson could do out there for the Vikes…He is a junior at NWG, he plays on the golf team, and Grayson is very athletic, and I would like to see what he could do as a high school football wide receiver…I have been playing Thanksgiving Day football games with him for about 10 years, and it has just got me wondering what this kid might be able to do, on a Varsity football team…But, he has to cross that ‘White Line’, and get on the field, or we will never know what he might be able to do…
