Lots of teams in the NC maxpreps that are undefeated but ranked below others. they just dont play anybody-strength of scheduel. you want to climb higher in the rankings play a harder non conf schedule. Oak Grove lake norman, pine lake prep, ledford, forest hills just too name a few. hickory ridge in charlotte is 4-3 ranked 20th in the state but they have one of the hardest strength of schedule in all of nc same thing with reagan and nw guilford. so yeah, ledford oak grove should be a good game but neither those teams would beat east forsyth nw guilford reagan or grimsley. really?
For all the people bashing Oak Grove’s schedule, seems like they beat Southwest Guilford, West Forsyth and Ragsdale — three 4-A teams. West and Ragsdale aren’t great, but I see a lot of people in comments on other posts talking up Southwest. So, I guess that means the Cowboys aren’t actually any good?
I just thought it was strange that a 6-0 team wasn’t listed in the MaxPreps 25 that Andy listed in the Western part of the state, yet a 3-2 team from Virginia (Bassett) was.
