Finals from Southeast Guilford High School and more details will on the way on these games, but the Grimsley girls got their first win of the season, as they topped the Southeast Guilford Falcons, 52-51, and the Southeast Guilford boys are one of the most improved teams in the state, and defeated the Grimsley Whirlies, 54-50…SEG boys, with that (8-0) record, are off to their BEST start in SEG school history…..More scores are on the way…

Avery Knapp, Jordan Britt and Alicia Graves all got hot for Grimsley in the second half…Knapp went on a nine-point run in the third quarter that pushed Grimsley ahead 36-33, after Britt had just hit a three to tie the game, at 33-33…Graves hit a three to increase the Grimsley lead to 38-35 right before SEG hit two free throws, to make the score, Grimsley 38, SEG 37 at the end of three period…SEG hit some huge layups to go up 45-43 with 4:04 left to play in the ballgame…Graves hit another three for G, as Grimsley led SEG, 48-47…Two free throws by Knapp, and Grimsley was in front to stay, at 52-49…One last layup by SEG, and that is how we got our final score of Grimsley 52, Southeast Guilford 51….

  2. Was looking for that score too….Checked on MaxPreps, and they had Smith boys score, but no Smith girls score this morning….Let us know if you find out that the 59-42 Smith score is valid and we will get it posted…
