End of First Quarter:Page 18, RHS 10…Halftime:Page 41, RHS 21…End of Third Quarter:Page 55, RHS 33…Final:Page 68, RHS 50…

Page scoring:Samaj Long 15 points, Jerron Blackwell 14, Billy Burton 13, Jackson Sellars 10, Kadyn Turner-Scott 5, Matt Main 5, Aiden Martin 3, Isaiah Howell 2, Alex Jones 1,
Ragsdale scoring:Kobe Parker 17 points, KJ Burke 9, Gavyn Williams 6, Ron Jones 6, Carl Stephens 5, Hamid Sesay 4, Tysere Payne 2, Devin Hackstall 1…..

Page with too many bodies(9) getting in on the scoring, and Page with several new players on this year’s squad, but these guys play good together, and there is not one dominant player out there for Page, everyone is coming in and contributing…This Page team sort of reminds you of Southeast Guilford, with many new faces, in many new places on the court for the Pirates….Jackson Sellars is a super young player for Page coming in off the bench, but he will be hard to keep out of the starting lineup, if he keeps on improving…

Page is for sure improving, as the Pirates knocked off an unbeaten Southwest Guilford Cowboys team back on Tuesday, and then tonight, they took down the once-beaten Ragsdale Tigers…Page should just keep getting better, if they continue to work like they have been…Hard to evaluate the smarts part of the game, but Page appears to be a basketball smart team too…

The Pirates won’t overpower you, but they will make you work and they are on course for another big game, vs. Smith at The HAECO next Tuesday…Smith the #2 seed and Page seeded #7….Ragsdale relies quite a bit on the three-point shot, and Kobe Parker put up his share of the long-range shots on Friday night at Page HS…Parker finished with a game-high 17 points for the Ragsdale Tigers…

Ragsdale looked a bit flat, and I am not sure why, but if you asked the Page Pirates about it, they would tell you it was their defense, that was causing Ragsdale troubles on Friday at the Mac Morris Gym…

Ragsdale does have some big bodies that they can use in the lane, with BIG footballers Carl Stephens, Devin Hackstall, and DeShawyn Cuyler…Page has some beef from their football team too, in Alex Jones…

We will see these two teams again in just a fews days at The HAECO, with #6 Ragsdale facing #3 Grimsley, and #7 Page again, set to face off with #2 Smith….

  1. Page has quite a few new faces, and quite a bit of skilled depth. They needed some time to gel and learn to play together, which we are starting to see now. They were somewhat threw into a couple of tough ones early with Dudley and Smith in the Big 4 Tip-off classic. Lost to Smith by a point, will be interesting to see how the rematch in the HAECO ends up.
