UNCG Men’s Tennis Hosts Radford Tuesday

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men’s tennis team returns to play tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7 after 18 days off, hosting Radford at the UNCG Tennis Courts with a start time of 2 p.m.

About the Spartans
The Spartans opened the New Year against No. 19 NC State, falling twice on January 14 in Raleigh, N.C.
UNCG is 1-2 overall this season with a 5-2 win over Longwood.
John Gabelic and David Flisberg have the lone doubles win this season, thus far. It was a 6-3 win against a Longwood doubles pairing.
Flisberg is 1-2 in singles action, with a two-set win over Longwood, 6-2, 6-2.
He was named SoCon Player of the Week on January 24 after going 1-0 in singles and doubles action.
Andrew Black, Gabelic, Tymofiy Khrystyuk, and Devon Moskowitz each have a win in singles play.

About Radford
Radford is 0-3 heading into the match on Tuesday.
The Highlanders fell to then-number 14 Wake Forest twice, before losing to number one Virginia on February 5.
Radford was picked to finish second in the Big South Preseason Poll.
Big South Player of the Year, Demis Taramonlis, returns for his senior season.
He led the Highlanders with a record of 14-6 in number one singles play and 11-7 in number one doubles action.
Last season, Radford was 14-8 overall and 6-1 in the Big South earning the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Highlanders lost to Wake Forest in the Tournament.

Up Next for the Spartans
UNCG will host Presbyterian on Friday, February 17 with a start time of 1:00 PM. The Spartans then hit the road to face Gardner-Webb on Sunday, February 19 at 1 PM in Boiling Springs, NC.
