Baseball Set To Host Notre Dame For Three-Game Series
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team is set to welcome Notre Dame at the UNCG Baseball Stadium. The teams will play a three-game series from Friday through Sunday with the first pitch slated for 4 p.m., 2 p.m., and 12 p.m., in respective order.

Last Time Out
The Spartans hosted No. 4 Wake Forest in the first mid-week game of the season.
Wake Forest beat UNCG 20-2 on Tuesday.
Matt Kemp struck out a career-best three batters in the 1.2 innings he pitched only giving up one run and two hits.
UNCG had three double plays. The last time the Spartans did that in one game was May 26th in a 7-6 win against The Citadel in the first round of the SoCon Tournament.

Kennedy Jones and Mitchell Smith were voted to the Preseason All-Conference first team.
Jones was named to the Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List.
Dallas Callahan was voted to the Preseason All-Conference second team.

Scouting Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The Fighting Irish ended the 2022 season losing to Texas A&M in the College World Series, 1-5.
Notre Dame opened its season against Lipscomb in Nashville, TN, going 1-2 in the series.
Aidan Tyrell had a ERA of 0.00 pitching a total of 4.0 innings to start the season.
Nick Juaire and Danny Neri both lead the Fighting Irish with a batting average of .200.
Carter Putz and Zack Prajzner were also recognized by Perfect Game as two of the top 50 seniors in the country heading into the 2023 season.
Black Hely was recognized by Perfect Game as one of the top 50 impact transfers in the nation.
David Lally Jr. is a two-time Collegiate Baseball First Team All-American and was recognized this year as one of the top 100 freshmen in the country by Perfect Game.
On Deck
The Spartans hit the road for the first time this season visiting Elon for the first of the two-game series on Tuesday, February 28th, starting at 4 p.m. Game two will be hosted by the Spartans on Wednesday, March 1st, with a first pitch of 4 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY
This is the first time the Spartans with face the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame will be the second out of the three teams from the ACC UNCG plays this season.
