ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women’s basketball sophomore Isys Grady was named to the 2023 SoCon All-Tournament First Team following the Championship Game.

During the SoCon quarterfinal game against Mercer where UNCG won, 63-59 in overtime, Grady played 38 minutes of the game scoring 14 points (7-for-10 in field goals) and had six rebounds. She also had two steals and one assist.

In the SoCon semifinal game, where the top-seeded Wofford Terriers won 68-63, Grady played 36 minutes and was second on the team with 16 points (6-for-9 in field goals). She was one of two Spartans with double-digit points during the game. She also contributed eight rebounds, one steal, and two assists.

This season, Grady played in 21 games, making 16 starts. She had four double-doubles this season. Grady averaged 27.2 minutes on the court, with 8.5 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game. At the start of the season, she was named to the SoCon Preseason All-Conference Team. As a freshman during the 2021-22 season, Grady was voted to the SoCon All-Rookie Team.

Grady assisted the Spartans to a 16-14 overall record and an 8-6 SoCon mark. They entered the SoCon Tournament as the No. 4 seed and made it to the semifinal game for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
