Josh Wilson becomes three-time Division III All-American at NCAA Championships

Roanoke, VA – After winning an Old Dominion Athletic Conference title and an NCAA Southeast Regional title, Greensboro College Wrestler Junior Josh Wilson (Greensboro, NC/Southeast Guilford HS) capped off his historic season by earning NCAA Division III All-American honors for the third time as a member of the Pride program. This accomplishment has made Wilson one of the best wrestlers to step foot on campus and Head Coach Justin Harty is excited that he has another year of eligibility to once again make a run at an NCAA Championship.

“Josh wrestled like a warrior an although we did not finish where we had hoped, he still leaves Roanoke as an 141lb All American, which makes Josh now, a three-time All American,” said Harty “Josh had the one of the best performances in a single season at Greensboro College. I am very proud of Josh, as our our Coaches, team and college family.

In addition to Wilson’s performance, Heavyweight Senior Brandon Williams (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale HS) had an outstanding season and NCAA Championship, coming up one win short of becoming an All-American. However, his NCAA Southeast Regional 2nd place finish solidifies him as one of the best Heavyweights in the history of the program.

“We are also very proud of Brandon Williams for a phenomenal senior campaign. No doubt he is one of the best heavy weights we’ve had at Greensboro College during his time here.” said Harty. “He was a warrior all year and came up short in the All-American round. Brandon improved so much this season, he’s just incredible. He was also able to avenge his loss to the Stevens Tech opponent from the finals at regions, and wrestled a great national tournament. “
