GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team starts its nine-game road stretch TODAY, with a trip to in-state rival NC State, with a first pitch slated for 6:00 p.m. at Doak Field at Dail Park.

Mitchell Smith was hit-by-pitch on Saturday for a 5-4 eight inning walk off.
Dosi Jonas and Smith hit their third home runs of the season, and Kennedy Jones hit his fourth this weekend.
Zack Budzik had six stolen bases this weekend.

Scouting the Spartans
The Spartans are 13-11 in regular season play and 2-1 in Southern Conference (SoCon) play.
UNCG is second in the conference in double plays (22), sacrifice flies (15), and double plays per game (0.92).
Nationally, the Spartans are 15th in double plays, 18th in sacrifice flies, 27th in double plays per game, 32nd in hit by pitch (42), 35th in stolen bases (42), 44th in stolen bases per game (1.75), and 65th in hits (237).
GC Jarman is nationally ranked 11th and leading the conference in sacrifice files (4). Jonas is second in the conference and 47th nationally with three sacrifice files.
Jones is nationally ranked 79th in hits (35) and is batting .354 (35-for-99) with 22 runs scored, 20 RBIs, and four home runs.
Budzik is batting .357 (30-for-84) in 22 games played with 18 RBIs, six doubles, and one triple.
In 35.0 innings pitched, Jake Wolf has a 3.60 ERA with 18 strikeouts and just 16 runs allowed. He is 1-1 on the mount with one save.
Caleb Cozart and Jones are the only Spartans with four home runs. Rowan Watt, Smith, and Jonas have three home runs, and Dallas Callahan has two home runs.
