Huber in 2nd and Dukes in 7th after first round of the USA South Golf Championships
Spartanburg, SC – The 2023 USA South Men’s Golf Tournament, which features two of the top-20 ranked teams in Division III according to Golfstat, has begun at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Following first round play, Methodist has jumped out to a nine-stroke lead over Greensboro who sits second, two-strokes ahead of third-place Pfeiffer. Individually, defending tournament champion Cameron Cappuzzo from Methodist leads with a first round score of 74 (+2). Just one shot back, tied for second are Greensboro’s Andreas Huber and N.C. Wesleyan’s Alvaro Toro.
The second round will begin at 8:30am, tomorrow, April 25 with the final round teeing off on Wednesday, April 26.
