RE/MAX Revolution Report:Greensboro Grasshoppers stop Jersey Shore BlueClaws, with Will Kobos paving the way, and making the play to Save the Day, with his BIG K

Courtesy of RE/MAX Revolution, the Top Real Estate Team in the Triad….

This was one of those cliff-hanging games, and it all came down to the Hoppers being on top 7-5, in the Top of the Eighth Inning, and Michell MilIano walked the bases loaded with BlueClaws, and there were two outs, but the bases were full…In comes the Greensboro reliever from Charlotte, Will Kobos…Yes, that is Kobos, with a “K”, and he wouldn’t have it any other old way….Will struck out one of the ‘Claws top batters, in Marcus Lee Sang…Huge strikeout, and then Kobos gets Jersey Shore 1-2-3 in the top of the ninth inning…Wilfredo Flores flied out to Mikol Escotto, then Kobos struck out Jersey Shore’s Caleb Ricketts, and Rixon Wingrove to close out the game…Our Steak n Shake Player of the Game, no doubter, Will Kobos…

At the plate, big game for the Hoppers’ Jase Bowen, who connected for a two-run Home Run, and Bowen also had a two-run Double, and Bowen drove in four runs for the Grasshoppers….Hudson Head went 2-3, with a walk for the Hoppers, and Head scored one run…As a team, the Hoppers came up with four big Doubles…Also as a unit, the Grasshoppers only struck out three times in this contest, while the Hoppers pitching staff struck out 10 Jersey Shore BlueClaws…We really liked the job Collin Wilbur was doing, as he was coaching at third base tonight…He was very engaged and his windmill moves, were working in total three-part harmony….
