Ty Moore has stepped down as the head baseball coach at Page High School

After one season, Page High School head baseball coach Ty Moore has resigned/stepped down, as the Pirates baseball leader…Coach Moore was with the Pirates for just one season, but Page Athletic Director Gordon Hagan told us that Coach Moore had the Page Pirates’ baseball team headed in the right direction…Mr. Hagen said Coach Moore was doing things the right way, and that he had created a lot of interest in baseball at Page High School…

Coach Ty Moore is stepping down because he and his wife are stating a family, and he wants to be there for his wife and child…Coach Moore was assisted at Page by his father Roger Moore, and by Lionel Stout…The Page Pirates finished the 2023 baseball season at (6-16) overall, and the Pirates went (2-12) in the Metro 4-A Conference…The results may look a bit weak, but as Page AD Gordon Hagen said, “the interest in Page HS baseball became very big under Coach Moore’s leadership, and we now have many of our kids playing baseball year-round”…..

The Word from Coach Ty Moore, as he let his team know of his intentions to step away from the Page Baseball Program, by way of Email…..

Baseball Update:

Pirates,
This Email is to inform the players and parents at Page of my resignation as Head Baseball Coach. As you know, my wife and I are expecting our first child, and I will be shifting my full focus towards being the best father I can be.

The program:Things are headed in the right direction and there is a foundation in place that has the potential to be something special. I’ve seen firsthand, the heights this team can reach. That being said, I will not be able to provide the program with the time, focus, and dedication it deserves moving forward.

Thank you for your support throughout this last year and I truly wish the school and the baseball program the best of luck/continued success. I will be following along in the future.

**********That is the word from Coach Ty Moore, and we take time here to wish him the best, as he starts his family, and look forward to seeing him coach baseball again, in the future, here in Greensboro, and we know Page High School is better for having him be a part of the Pirates athletic program during the 2022-2023 school year….**********

++++++++++Page AD Gordon Hagen also told us the Page Pirates just completed their three weeks of Spring football practice…The Pirates worked out this morning before school, and finished up their Spring practices…Page football will be looking for a couple of new assistant coaches, and head coach Doug Robertson is working on that project right now…++++++++++

  1. Lots of coaching turnover at page recently… makes you wonder what’s going on over there.

  2. There are some big things coming to Page. Heard about it the other day. Get ready.

  3. No worries Page will always be in good hands….the quiet before the storm. Red Death
