Dudley High School has a Big 7 on 7 coming up on Saturday July 15, with everything starting at around 10am, and running into the early afternoon….

    From what we have been hearing, Grimsley and Dudley have both won 7 on 7 Championships, or finished at the top in some big ones..

    Dudley has the four receiver package featuring Nasir Newkirk, DJ Parker, Jerron Blackwell, and CJ Neely for Andrew Atmore II to throw to, Grimsley has the two-man set of Alex Taylor and Terrell Anderson for Faizon Brandon to throw to, and at Northwest Guilford, they have Trent Cloud and Prince Brown for Tanner Ballou to throw to….

    Our area is really stocked up on receivers this upcoming season and we may need to bring in Don Beebe or Andre Rison to analyze all of this talent…We have some very good QBs too…Among the top four we have been touting are Ballou(NWG), Attmore II(DHS), Jamias Ferere(Southern Guilford HS) and Brandon(GHS…

    Yes, let’s make that a Five-Player Panther Package for Dudley QB Andrew Attmore II, to throw to, with:
    Kordell Bartley, Nasir Newkirk, DJ Parker, Jerron Blackwell, and CJ Neely…

    You might also see several of the five above line up on the defensive side of the ball for Dudley, and I am wondering who Dudley’s #2 QB will be, just in case Andrew Attmore II’s arm gets tired…

    Dudley will probably utilize their wideouts as running threats also…I would think you could drive the opposing teams crazy with end around plays, and all of the jet sweeps that they can use…Might be tricky, but as some nice trick plays, you might want to drop in a few of those double-reverses, just got to make sure that you don’t drop the ball…..

    Going to be interesting, and it will keep the defenses busy trying guess which play Dudley will run next…

    I have always said to really make these offenses work to near-perfection, you have to be able to run the quarterbacks…The QBs have to able to run the football, to keep and make those defenses honest…

    If Tanner Ballou from Northwest, and Attmore II from Dudley and Brandon from Grimsley can run that football it will make their offenses so much more efficient…I know already that Jamias Ferere from Southern Guilford is ready to run it…

    Defense wins football games, but the offenses keep you in business…..

    Plus it is proven fact that the Grimsley Whirlies have one of the best returning running backs in the state in Mitchell Summers….Taylor and Anderson are huge on the outside for Grimsley, and those two guys are your big-play men, but Summers is the kid that keeps the chains moving….

    Just a few thoughts, and I for sure don’t know it all, but I have seen a few things, and if you have been watching local high school football at all over the past 3-4 seasons, you know the teams and the players that I am talking about, they are ready to go…..

    In the end Grimsley is going to run it and Dudley is going to run it. That is how you win football games.

    Steven Murray is another key returning threat at WR…Murray is the top receiver for the EG Wildcats, and if he has his QB Tyreik Boyd, back there with him again, Eastern Guilford will be right there in the Mid-State 3-A Conference…

    Going to be very hard to catch Dudley in the Mid-State and I don’t see anybody doing it, and the same for Grimsley in the Metro 4-A, with Northwest Guilford being the top threat to the Grimsley Whirlies crown…

    Bottom line as Mr. Austin used to say, Steven Murray, from Eastern Guilford HS, is a keeper, and BTW, Murray also plays on defense, and he returns kicks….

    Old coach that knows says with both of these teams with strong Qb’s and power great wideouts and you running. Game has changed air it out and sprinkle some runs. But you might be right Grimsley OC will not throw for nothing. Same quick out s with 6’3 wideouts smh. Dudley OC had those weapons he would average 50 points that’s facts. But Dudley is loaded and Attmore will throw for at least 3,000 yards playing half the games. 40pts average wins this year with the mighty panthers.

    This is the first I have ever heard of the Jamaal Jarrett story, and the first time I have seen it in print was today….Here is what CBS Sports is saying and if there has been a coverup, it has been on the part of the University of Georgia, from what I am reading here…Not us…Here is that most recent report…

    Georgia signed 2023 defensive line prospect Jamaal Jarrett(Grimsley HS) despite the fact that he broke curfew, drank alcohol with prospective teammates at an Athens bar and was taken to a police station under investigation for sexual assault while he was 16 years old, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The extensive reporting into allegations against Jarrett is part of a larger look into the program’s handling of sexual violence allegations.

    According to the report, a team official arrived at the hotel where the incident occurred and spoke with police following the accuser’s 911 call. The official also sat with Jarrett during the police investigation, during which one detective allegedly spoke of “my beloved Bulldogs.” Jarrett, a top-100 player for the Class of 2023, committed to Georgia on July 19, 2022, and eventually signed with the Bulldogs; however, the legal case against him was not closed until Aug. 18 of that year.

    A top recruit goes down to visit a school and gets charged with sexual violence allegations, the school official’s, Coach or player does not inform the school or Coach where he’s visiting from about the (PUBLIC INFORMATION) allegations, then dropped right before the season starts….RighT! What about the families at the school he returned to, do you think patents would have been okay with that? Im just saying…

    They are all just as talented as anyone you mentioned and are due for a big year and have been going off for their respective teams this summer.
