Final Score from the 2023 East-West All-Stars football game was, East 14, West 0…And more on the game below…But let’s get to our Video Interviews, with Coach Norman Weeks, from Grimsley and Page High School, and this was the last high football coaching EVER for Coach Weeks…His last game ever, tomorrow/Thursday, he becomes a full-time minister, and we have him for you here tonight..
Then we hook up with the 2023 West head football coach, Kennedy Tinsley, from Mallard Creek High School, in Charlotte…And Coach Tinsley played for Dudley HS, coached at Eastern Guilford HS as an assistant, and was the head coach at Southeast Guilford HS…
As for the players we have Nolan Albright, and he gives us a lot of the story on his tight bond and connection with his older brother, Lawson Albright…I watched Nolan in the game, and he was the Long Snapper on the punts, and he was also the first man downfield on the punt coverage…Nolan will walk-on at Cornell for college…
We spoke with Michael Godette, he is headed for N.C. A&T, to be an RB for the Aggies, in 2023…Talked to Mike, and we even went back and asked him about the Southeast Guilford game….That was the night he rushed for over 375 yards, had like a 74-yard run from scrimmage for a TD, and scored somewhere around 5 TD’s that night, at SEG, when NWG came in and took it home, to their house…
Caught up with Eastern Guilford HS offensive lineman, Eric Ainsworth, and he told one of his big inspirations came from the leadeship he got from Coach Melton down at EG….Eric is off to college in a few weeks and he is headed to Barton College…
We did not get a video interview with Shawn Seagraves, from Dudley High School, and Shawn got injured early in the game, and he had a strained hamstring, and he would have played quite a bit in this contest, but he was done about mid-way into the first quarter…His dad Brian Seagraves told me Shawn hurt his hammy in practice, and when he got in the tonight, it began to bother him again….Shawn Seagraves is headed to Fayettesville State University, and he will be a Bronco in college…
Could not find or catch up with Deshaun Cuyler, from Ragsdale HS, but in the game he had a nice kick/punt return, and #5 Cuyler, followed that up, with a real nice pass reception, on the very next play from scrimmage….
Did not catch up with, or find Khalil Stimpson from Grimsley HS…He really did play well on defesne, and was in on several tackles…
Let’s let those Videos roll, and this is some of our best work ever, and we sure had to hustle to get it…
Our interview with Coach Norman Weeks, in his last game as a high school football coach…He becomes a full-time minister tomorrow/Thursday/now today….CLICK BELOW
Next up West head coach Kennedy Tinsley, just CLICK ON BELOW…As you can tell from the end of the Coach Tinsley interview, we did a lot of walking around, in search of our next player….On the lookout…
We now have Nolan Albright, from the Grimsley Whirlies, and a member of the West All-Stars…CLICK BELOW and you can go to his video…Part of the Albright Family, and they have graced the All-Stars sidelines for many years, and don’t miss Nolan, as this young man knows quite a bit about the game of football, and the game of life…CLICK BELOW
This next young man, had a good game running the ball tonight for the West, and he tore it up last season for the Northwest Guilford Vikings…Mike Godette, from the NWG Vikings…CLICK BELOW, and don’t miss his video show…
We close out or Video Interviews with #51 from the West team, Eric Ainsworth, out of Eastern Guilford HS…Eric, the former Eastern Guilford Wildcat…Hard-working O-lineman here…CLICK BELOW for his video show, and go with EA, as he completes his football day/night..
The way we got the video interviews, is the players are spread out all over the football field, at Jamieson Stadium, and you have to play, “Find the Football Player” before he heads to the locker room and goes home for the night…And then when the players start taking off their jerseys, then the search is really on…
Did find something on Grimsley’s LB Khalil Stimpson…
