Ragsdale Athletics is thrilled to announce the hiring of Joe Henderson as the new Men’s Basketball Coach, stepping in to replace former Head Coach James Atkinson. Coach Atkinson stepped down to accept a teaching position and Assistant AD role at Parkland High School.
Joe Henderson emerged as the ideal candidate to continue to success of Ragsdale High School’s basketball program. Henderson’s experience as the Head JV Coach and Assistant Men’s Coach over the past three years, combined with his deep knowledge of the game, made him the standout choice for the role.
Joe Henderson, who has been an integral part of the basketball program is excited to build upon the foundation laid by Coach Atkinson. Henderson’s proven track record of developing young talent and fostering a positive team culture will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of the Ragsdale men’s basketball team.
Athletic Director Deborah Jones expressed her excitement about Henderson’s appointment, stating, “We are thrilled to have Joe Henderson as our new Men’s Basketball Coach. His experience, the relationship he has with our current players, and his commitment to the team makes him the perfect fit for this role. We are confident that under his leadership, our basketball program will continue to flourish.”
