Billy Horschel, Harris English, Joel Dahmen Join Wyndham Championship Field

BILLY HORSCHEL, HARRIS ENGLISH, JOEL DAHMEN JOIN WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Harris English, Billy Horschel and Joel Dahmen joined the field and will play next week’s Wyndham Championship, the tournament announced today. The 84th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 2-6, 2023 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.

These players join two-time Major winner Justin Thomas, former World No. 1 and past Masters champion Adam Scott, 2019 Open Championship winner Shane Lowry, 2019 U.S. Open champion Gary Woodland, Ryder Cup captains Zach Johnson and Luke Donald, FedExCup No. 18 and 2016 champion Si Woo Kim, FedExCup No. 22 Adam Schenk, FedExCup No. 25 Denny McCarthy, FedExCup No. 26 Chris Kirk, FedExCup No. 27 Taylor Moore, FedExCup No. 33 Russell Henley, FedExCup No. 35 Sungjae Im, FedExCup No. 36 Adam Svenson, FedExCup No. 37 Adam Hadwin, FedExCup No. 39 Brendon Todd, past champions J.T. Poston, Davis Love III, Webb Simpson, Ryan Moore and Brandt Snedeker.

Currently ranked 40th in FedExCup points and 38th in the Official World Golf Rankings, English is a four-time PGA TOUR winner. After winning twice last season, he is still looking for his first victory of the season. His best 2023 finishes are tied for second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, tied for third at the Wells Fargo Championship and tied for eighth at the U.S. Open.

English will make his ninth Wyndham Championship start next week; his best result came in 2018 when he finished tied for 11th.

Horschel is making his 11th Wyndham Championship start. His best finishes here are second in 2020, tied for sixth in 2019 and tied for fifth in 2016. The 2014 FedExCup champion is currently 119th in the FedExCup point standings and 47th in the Official World Golf Rankings. A seven-time PGA TOUR winner, he represented the United States on the winning Presidents Cup team in Charlotte last fall. His best finishes of the season are tied for ninth at the World Golf Championships – Dell Technologies Match Play and tied for 11th at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Dahmen turned professional in 2010. He was the Order of Merit Leader and Mackenzie Tour Canada Player of the Year in 2014 and joined the PGA TOUR in 2017. He and his caddie, Geno Bonnalie, gained notoriety following his appearance in the Netflix series, “Full Swing” which began streaming in February. His best finishes this season are tied for third at the World Wide Technology Championship, tied for ninth at the Cadence Bank Houston Open, tied for fifth at the RSM Classic and tied for 10th at last week’s Barracuda Championship. He will make his fifth Wyndham Championship start next week. He is 81st in the current FedExCup point standings and 141st in the Official World Golf Rankings.
