Home Runs by the Greensboro Grasshoppers coming tonight/Tuesday night from Josiah Sightler, Jack Brannigan, and Tremarr Johnson…Sightler with a solo shot in the bottom of the first inning…Then Brannigan and Johnson went back-to-back with solo home runs in the bottom of the eighth inning…When Brannigan and Johnson went Long Gone in the 8th, their blows were insurance HR’s and insurance runs, but on this night, That Brandenton Bunch of Bombers were going for the Northern Lights…North toward Altoona by next year(2024) Mid-Juner…Greensboro has become Bradenton North, with the four former Bradenton Marauders, Sightler, Brannigan, Johnson, and Nick Cimillo all cementing the Hoppers lineup with pure power and true skill, and they were right there on Tuesday night, lining up at 3-6, in the Greensboro Grasshoppes batting order…

These Bradenton North fellows, now Greensboro Grasshoppers, are making a huge difference, with the Hoppers now at (21-21) for the second half of the SALLY season, these kids are doing a fine job of making the new Greensboro Grasshoppers look and play like Winners….Jack Brannigan made at least two outstanding defensive plays at shortstop on Tuesday night, and he seems to be settling in there, with Termarr Johnson being a natural second baseman…

Steak n Shake Players of the Game were Sightler, Brannigan, and Johnson, plus SNS POG’s from the mound in Jake Stevenson and Valentin Linarez….
(On those Hopper homers, it was Sightler to right-center field, Brannigan going to left and leaving it around the corner, and Termarr Johnson left the yard in right field.)

The Hoppers also got a 2-3 night from Tres Gonzalez and he drove in a run…Sightler 1-4, Brannigan 2-4, Johnson 2-4, Wyatt Hendrie 1-2/BB/2 Runs/2 SB’s…Francisco Acuna 1-1/BB/SAC Fly…

Very solid work from the Hoppers’ bullpen, from Linarez and Stevenson, after starter Po-Yu Chen had to leave the game….As a staff, the Grasshoppers pitchers walked six Hot Rods, and they struck out 14 Bowling Green batters….Bowling Green walked just three Hoppers, and struck out 15 Hopper batters…

Big night for the Greensboro Grasshoppers’ defense with three Double Plays turned in by the Hoppers…
DP3 (Brannigan; Brannigan-Sightler; Brannigan-Johnson-Sightler)….Jack Brannigan part of all three of the Double Plays…On the first DP, Brannigan caught a liner at SS, and then he stepped on the second base bag for the force out(Unassisted Double Play)…On the DP Play two, Brannigan stepping on the second base bag, and then he went over to Josiah Sightler at first base to complete the DP….DP Play Three goes Brannigan grabbing up the ground ball and then going to Termarr Johnson at second, and Johnson goes to Sightler at first to finish off the DP….

Hopper pitchers on the night…Po-Yu Chen goes three innings, allowing 0 runs, on 2 hits, with 3 BB’s/5 K’s…Jake Stevenson went two innings, with 0 runs, 0 hits, 1 BB/3 K’s…Valentin Linarez worked 3 innings, giving up 0 runs, on 0 hits, with 1 BB/6 K’s…Cy Nielson going one inning, with 1 run on 1 hit, with 1 BB and 0 K’s….We feel like Linarez and Stevenson stood out in this contest…Hoppers for the WIN…

Game One for this week in the books, and Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win, Hoppers Win again…
