UNCG Women’s Soccer Hosts George Washington in Non-Conference Game
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women’s soccer team hosts George Washington for a non-conference game, on Sunday for a start time of 5 p.m. at the UNCG Soccer Stadium.

Scouting George Washington
The Buff & Blue opened the season in a dominant 7-0 win over Delaware State. George Washington couldn’t keep that momentum going into its second game, losing to Bucknell 3-1. The Buff & Blue is nationally ranked sixth and leading the A10 in saves per game (9). Nationally George Washington is also ranked fifth in shots on goal per game (13.50) and eighth in shots per game (23.50). Grace Crowe herself is nationally ranked 12th in saves per game (8). Junior Kelly Poole is nationally ranked seventh in shots on goal per game (3).
Quick Hitters for the Spartans
Most recently UNCG fell to High Point, 1-0 despite out-shooting High Point 13-5.
The Spartans started the season blanking Army, 2-0 at home. This was the first time since 2020 that UNCG has started the season with a shutout.
Mairead Gayer had her first collegiate goal and is nationally ranked fifth in game-winning goals (1).
Ava Kiss had her second career game with an assist and goal. Haydan Erck earned her first collegiate assist.
Sophomore Emma Malone had her first shutout of the season and her third career shutout against Army.
The Spartans were voted second in the SoCon Coaches’ Preseason poll.
Fifth-year Gabi Santora, Parker Sikora, and Malone were named to the SoCon Preseason All-Conference team.
