Friday Night Finish with Page getting Big One/Win over the NG Nighthawks, Western Guilford has another Victory, plus Dudley Panthers and Grimlsey Whirlies wins are mounting

Page gets the Hard-Fought win over then NG Nighthawks, and Page did it all minus their stating QB, Nigel Hinson…Page was driving the ball in the second half, and they were doing it without their QB….Page would line their top RB Maurice Andrews up at quarterback and he would take the direct snap, and then he would take off running…No mystery lesson here…It was going to Andrews running that football when they snapped it to him…On some of the plays, Andrews did remind us of the ole Atlanta Falcons RB, William Andrews…

The Page Pirates were snapping the ball to Andrews and he was taking off…Page would snap it to Dyvion Barley and he takes off….Page was down 21-7 at Halftime…In the second half, Page was able to out-score Northern Guilford, 18-0…There was a time in this game where it looked like NG was going to run off and leave Page, way behind….

Page got the scoring rolling first with Barley’s 74-yard TD in the first quarter…He hit the edge and Barley was gone, on to the house…The Santiago Garcia PAT Kick was good, and with 10:24 to play in the first quarter, and on their first possession of the football game, Page is gone…PAGE 7, Northern Guilford 0…

Barley went far, but Page as a whole was not going all that far yet, and who’s to say they have to start putting the ball in the air, but both teams do, with NG finding very sound success by way of the air…

At the 6:40 time mark remaining in the First Quarter, Northern Guilford scores on a 8-yard pass play, from Jaxson Kemp to Cohen Muse and with the Muse PAT Kick good, the new game score reads, Northern Guilford 7, Page 7….And the Northern Guilford Nighthawks are not done yet…Kemp connects with Dwight Hall for a 19-yard TD pass to put NG up 14-7 at the 11:23 mark of the second quarter…The Muse kick makes it Northern 14, Page 7…

Jaxson Kemp takes the football into the end zone from one yard out, with :38 seconds left in the First Half…Muse boots through his third successful PAT kick of the night, and Northern will take a 21-7 lead over Page into the locker room at Hafltime…

Halftime:NG 21, Page 7

Page comes up with super-long sustanied drive in the second half, and the Pirates get a 2-yard run from their Wildcat QB Barley, and to the shock of everyone, except for Jorrell Wilson, Wilson hauls in the two-point Conversion pass from Barley, and now the Pirates are ready to resume the season for the chance to make the Playoffs….Page has cut that NG lead to just 6 points…Just 8 seconds left to go in the Third Quarter of this game, the Page Pirates have turned it around here in the second half…Our score now reads, NG 21, Page 15…Page down by six points….

Next up we get what might have been the BIG PLAY of the game….At the 11:51 mark of the Fourth Quarter the Page Pirates’ Anthony Peele took back an interception for a Pick Six…Peele picked off NG QB Jaxson Kemp, and it was a short swing pass that Peele swiped and ran back all way to the endzone…With the Peele pick, and TD for the Pirates, plus the Page Pirates’ PAT kick, Page now leads NG, 22-21…Will this new lead last??? Two points, a mere difference, but Northern is ready to put this game on the blocks…

Page in front, for the first time in this game, and the Pirates will not give the lead in this Metro-4-A Battle…Page got some of the sealing they were looking for, when their kicker, Santiago Garcia kicked a near-perfect field goal from 25 yards out, and with that score, Page has the lead…New score with just 1:35 left in Regulation, Page 25, Northern Guilford 21…

Final Score:Page 25, Northern Guilford 21

**********Northern led at the 11:23 mark of the Second Quater, and did not lead the game again…***********
