The Northern Ladies Basketball team improved to 23-1 on the season and remained a perfect 14-0 in Metro 4A play to wrap up the Conference Crown on Friday night. The nighthawks hit from deep early and often and opened up a 34-22 lead at halftime. Leena McField scored a game high 26 points and Jasmine Harris added 17 to help the Nighthawks stay perfect and grab the one seed in their own gym next week. Sanaya Blount scored 12 for Grimsley and Alyssa Graves racked up 10 but the Nighthawks created turnovers and fast break opportunities. The transition points started to add up in the second half as Northern pulled away for the 66-44 win on Senior night. Grimsley regular season is now complete, falling to 8-14 overall and 6-8 in conference.
