  1. Oh Snap did Grimsley really beat SEG in baseball last night? Is the Metro ready for Grimsley to dominate in another sport this year?

  2. Smith Girls I know missed about 15 foul shots or more, to lose by 3. While ACR was driving to the basket or shooting 3’s. Smith seemed bothered and off their game. As far with the Boys and Girls teams in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem Area, they need to be more than athletic. They need to hit the weights room and get stronger, more physical. Learn how to handle and apply Full Court and Half Court Pressure. Be more consistent at the foul line and 3 pt line. And have your 1-3 spots handle the ball. Shot blocking under the rim. The Centers need to guard the basketball and clash the boards. These teams like Central Cabarrus, ACR Reynolds, Hickory, and other Teams from the Mountains to the Charlotte/Concord regions does this very well. Our teams will never make it out he Regionals semis if we don’t.

  3. Smith girls had the game won in regulation. They were winning in the last minute with the ball. One of the guards drives the ball to the basket with three ACR girls down there. All she had to do was hold the ball and get fouled. But they played that way all year and it finally caught up to them. Very good year though.
