LP:J.P. Massey(2-2)
Dash' Line- 7-11-1 Hoppers' Line-3- 7-1
Greensboro Grasshoppers(14-9)
Winston-Salem Dash(10-14)
Hopper hitters:Lonnie White 1-5…Mitch Jebb 0-4…Charles McAdoo 0-4/Run…Termarr Johnson 0-4/RBI…Hudson Head 1-4…Shawn Ross 2-3/HR/Double/BB/2 Runs…Josiah Sightler 1-4…Rodolfo Nolasco 2-4/RBI…
Would have to make/name Shawn Ross the Player of the Game for the Grasshoppers…Ross with a home run, a Double, the two runs scored, and for the kicker, Ross had a Stolen Base…
The Hoppers pitching never really got rolling in this one, as they gave up the 7 runs, on 11 hits, with six Walks, and 12 Strikeouts…One HR from the WS Dash…
Top Dash hitters:Bryce Willits 2-4/HR/BB/2 RBI/SB…Loidel Chapelli was busy going 2-4/HBP/3 Runs/SB…Mario Camilletti 1-4/Double/BB/Run/RBI…Shawn Goosenberg 0-3/BB/SAC Fly RBI…Wes Kath 1-4/BB/Run/SB…D.J. Gladney 1-4/BB…Chris Lanzilli 1-5/RBI…Colby Smelley 1-3/BB/Run…Tashi Nakawake 2-4/Double…The Dash did strike out 12 times, but they also drew the six walks, and collected the 11 hits….
Very solid and effective outing by the WS Dash starting pitcher Peyton Pallette who went 5 Innings, allowing 0 Runs, on 4 Hits, with 0 BBs/7 Ks…The seven strikeouts impressive by Pallette, and he had a pitch count of 74 pitches with 52 of his pitches going for strikes….
The Grasshoppers fell behind early 5-0, and the runs Greensboro picked up were really sort of cosmetic, but the Hoppers found true life in the bottom of the ninth inning, when they came up with two hits, a walk, and a run…Got the offense cranking there late in the contest, and just hope that type of effort carries over to the Friday night game…
