Update on Caldwell Academy in the NCISAA State Championships

The student/athletes from Caldwell Academy participated in the
following NCISAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS
MAY 6—11.

The Boys Varsity Tennis Team won their opening first round match
defeating Gaston Day by a score of 5—0. STATS:
SINGLES 1 Freddy Ortmann won 2—0,, 2 Daniel Norris won 2—0,,
DOUBLES 1 Ortmann & Norris won 8—2,, 2 John C Austin &
Matthias Roland won 8—2,, 3 Pearson & Owen Yates won 8—3.
Lost in the second (2nd) round to #7 ranked The O’Neal School 5—2.
SINGLES :: 1 F. Ortmann won 2—0,, 2 Chase Herrick lost 2—1,,
4 M. Roland lost 2—1,, 6 O.Yates lost 2—0. DOUBLES::
1 Ortmann & Norris won 8—6,, Herrick & Roland lost 8—3,, 3 Yates &
Carter lost 9—7. Overall Record 6W 6L for the year.

Boys Baseball hosted Gaston Day School and lost 14—11. STATS:
C Hubbard AB 5, R 2, H 2,, K Moles AB 4,, H 1, RBI 3, 2B 1,,
W Brown AB 3,, R 1, H ,1,, C Plasman AB 4, H 1,, M Richardson AB 3,
R 2, H 1, RBI 1,, L Robinson AB 4, R 1, H 1, RBI 1, 2B 1,, R Silver AB 4,
R 2, H 2, RBI 2,. PITCHING: L Schooley IP 1, H 3, R 3, BB 2, K 3,,
J Pearman IP 6, H 11, R 11, BB 3, K 4. Overall Record 5W 21L.

Girls Soccer had a bye into the second(2nd) round & hosted Trinity School
of Durham & Chapel Hill and defeated them 3—0. Goals scored by
Kaylie Kocher 2,, Alaina Scott 1.
In the third(3rd) round lost to #7 ranked The O’Neal School by as score
of 3—1. Goal was scored by Kaylie Kocher. Overall record 7W 10L.
