Caldwell Academy in NCISAA Summer Basketball Showcase and CA Eagles showing in the Wells Fargo Cup

The Caldwell Academy Boys Basketball Team 2A participated
in the NCISAA Showcase the past two weekends. This
event presents a crucial opportunity for young basketball
talent to showcase their skills and potentially earn college
scholarship offers. Team record for 2023/2024 23W 9L.
Session 1 was held at Greensboro Day School 21-23JUNE.

The Wells Fargo Cup, presented and sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank
recognizes overall excellence in high school athltics among NCISAA
member institutions.

Since 1985, the Wells Fargo Cup has been presented to the school
in each classification with the best overall interscholastic
athletic programs. The Wells Fargo Cup is awarded to the school
with the most combined points for each classification. The
winning schools receive an engraved silver cup and a banner.
Both awards are provided as permanent recognition of that year’s
athletic excellence. As such, the Cup has become a valued athletic
achievement award in North Carolina.

1. The winning schools are determined by total points earned through competition in State Championships.
2. Each school that finishes in the top eight (8) of a State
Championship receives Wells Fargo Cup points. This is

applicable for sports who complete by division as well as

Caldwell Academy Sports program finished 8th out of 32 schools
with points as follows: FALL 57.5,, WINTER 60, SPRING 85
TOTAL 202.5. This is there 8th year placing in the TOP 10 over
the last 10 years.
