Hoppers go (5-1) this week at Jersey Shore, and they won the last three games, 14-1, 16-1, and 10-1 today…Over the past three weeks, the Greensboro Grasshoppers record is now at 15-3…Took the WS Dash series, 5-1, the Hudson Valley Renegades series, 5-1, and now win the Jersey Shore BlueClaws road series, 5-1….Pretty strong baseball these days, by the league’s top club…

On Sunday, the Greensboro Grasshoppers started strong, with 3 runs in the top of the first inning, and it was Katy-bar-the-Door from then on…

For the game the Hops saw Geovanny Planchart go 3-4, with 2 Doubles, a run, and 3 RBI…Mitch Jebb was 3-4, with a BB and 3 runs scored…Jack Brannigan hit his 10th home run of the season, going 1-5/HR/2 RBI…Also a solid day for P.J. Hilson who went 1-4/BB/3 Runs/RBI…Termarr Johnson was 1-5/Run…Nick Cimillo goes 0-3/2 BBs/Run/RBI…RBI #40 of the season, for Cimillo…

The Hoppers got a bullpen start from Yoldin De La Paz and it was a full bullpen game for the Grasshoppers pitching staff, with De La Paz, being followed by WP Jaycob Deese for two innings, then you saw Darvin Garcia, and Brandon Bidois come to finish things off…De La Paz over his four innings, gave up up the 1 BlueClaw run, on three hits, with 0 BBs/3 Ks…Deese worked 2 innings with 0 runs/0 hits/0 BBs/2 Ks…For Garcia the spin was 2 innings, with 0 runs/0 hits/0 BBs/2 Ks…Then for the finisher Bidois it goes, 1 inning, with 0 runs/1 hit/2 Ks…Two Ks from every Hopper pitcher from the pen, for 6 total, and you add in the 3 from the Starter De La Paz, and that gives you 9 Hopper Ks for the day, with hits, and again, Not One Walk by the Hoppers’ pitchers on Sunday afternoon….No Walks from the Hoppers’ pitchers, OUTSTANDING…
