QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH STEFANI WORKMAN
“I thought this was a really good game to start our season. Wilmington is a tough place to play. I am happy with how the team reacted in the second half to establish our style of play and to get the goal early. There are always things we can learn about our team, but this non-conference schedule was built to prepare our style and mindset for SoCon play.”
BY THE NUMBERS
UNCG held the advantage in shots 10-3.
UNCW had 10 corner kicks to the Spartans’ three.
