No. 17 Men’s Basketball to Host No. 23 Hampden-Sydney in Hurricane Helene Relief Exhibition
Quakers to host Tigers in Final Four rematch for a cause

GREENSBORO, N.C. – In wake of the devastation of Hurricane Helene, the No. 17 Guilford College men’s basketball team has scheduled an exhibition game with No. 23 Hampden-Sydney College on the Jack Jensen Court on Saturday, November 2nd. All ticket sale proceeds of the exhibition game will be donated to the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts for Hurricane Helene.

Tickets will cost $10 and are not included in the men’s basketball season pass purchase. There will be no complimentary tickets available for the exhibition contest. Tickets can be purchased here: LINK.

For students only, there is a donation option provided the sum of the goods donated is equal to or greater than the $10 admission price. Some suggested items include blankets, gloves, socks, hand and foot warmers, PPE, trash bags, cleaning rags, and cleaning products. In addition, canned goods and non-perishable food items will also be accepted.

Both the Quakers and the Tigers feature very different looking rosters from their NCAA Division III Final Four matchup in Fort Wayne, Indiana last March. Guilford returns a pair of starters but features eight fresh faces, four freshmen and four transfers. For Hampden-Sydney, they too have a lot of new pieces with ten incoming players, eight freshmen and two transfers.
