High School Football Tonight in and around Guilford County on the last night of the 2024 Regular Season with our Murphy Wainer Orthopedic Specialists Games of the Week

High School Football Tonight in and around Guilford County:
(7pm games followed by the 7:30pm kickoff games.)

Eastern Guilford(6-3/6-0) at Dudley(9-0/6-0) 7pm…
Mid-State 3-A Conference Championship Game…Murphy Wainer Orthopedic Specialists Game of the Week on GreensboroSports Radio…Pregame at around 6:15 and the Shift-ed.org Kickoff coming at 7pm, at Dudley’s Tarpley Stadium…Title Game with Dudley coming at Eastern Guilford with those wide receivers in, Nasir Newkirk, CJ Neely, Kordell Bartley, and Antonio Lee…QBs in rotation with Jaquez Crawford and Brayden Jeffries…Running backs holding fort with LJ Southern and Jayden Brown…Dudley with big offensive and defensive lines…Eastern counters with QB Javion Majette, RB Caleb Creech, and WR Steven Murray…Dudley has the multiple weapons in every position, and Eastern needs more input…Going to take career games and beyond from all of the Eastern Guilford playmakers to hang with the Dudley Panthers…How long EG can hang with Dudley will be interesting…Could end of being a slobberknocker at “The Tarp” tonight…GreensboroSports Radio will there with Coach Randy Norris…

High Point Central(0-9/0-6) at Southern Guilford(3-6/2-4) 7pm
Seth Davis will be at QB for SG, and the Storm will look to Athlete Travis Covington to be a leader for them on both sides of the ball…RJ Scott also gives Southern a boost…Southern should take over this game early and we project the SG Storm to get their fourth win of the season, as they close out 2024, at C.K. Siler Stadium..

Rockingham County(5-4/3-3) at WS Atkins(2-7/2-4) 7pm
Rockingham County has been a very good defensive team all season long, and we project their offense to be sufficient and we are looking for The ROCK to go a long way in securing a playoff spot with this win tonight…Coach Doug Robertson’s team has been solid on defense all year long, and tonight should be no different…

Smith(3-6/1-5) at Northeast Guilford(5-4/4-2) 7pm
Our exit polls show the NEG Rams coming on strong and winning by a steady margin this evening, and we see NEG going on to the 2024 playoffs…NEG, The ROCK, plus top dogs the EG ‘Cats and Dudley Panthers to the postseason, from the Mid-State 3-A Conference…Tristan Tucker with a solid season as the NEG QB…Aaryn Tate and Ashton Timberlake taking the lead at WR for the Rams, and Tre Alexander getting it done at RB for NEG…Rams running ready, but their passing game has been their biggest asset this year…Game at NEG’s Bill Bookout Stadium…

Northern Guilford(9-0/6-0) at Grimsley(9-0/6-0) 7:30pm
Metro 4-A Conference Championship Game…Murphy Wainer Orthopedic Specialists Game of the Week on GreensboroSports Radio, with Demetri Morrison…Plenty of Faizon Brandon(QB), Mitchell Summers(RB), Kaden Catoe(WR), DJ Howerton(TE), Hudson Cooper(WR), Andre Hill(DL), Bryce Davis(DL), Ryan Debow(DB) and others to go around for Grimsley…These guys are potent…Northern has a very good QB in Jaxson Kemp, RBs Dwight Hall-Lassiter and Amare Akers, WRs Reggie King, Greyson Council, and CJ Morrison…OL Sam Bagley and Tristan Swinney, and then defense for NG with Chance Crews, plus MORE…NG can hang with Grimsley for a while, but the Nighthawks must get off to a good start….Can’t fall behind and expect to play catchup with the Grimsley Whirlies…Game at Grimsley’s Jamieson Stadium, and that will be a bonus too…A few years back, NG came in at (9-0) and hung with the Whirlies for most of the game, and that was a Jack Mercer(QB)-led NG squad…Now’s the time for Jaxson Kemp to step up and take over this team and the game…Faizon Brandon is pretty much built for games like this one…

Southeast Guilford(5-4/3-3) at Page(3-6/3-3) 7:30pm
From a little bit of the comparison chart, SEG played NWG to a one-touchdown game last Friday night, at Bill Slayton Stadium, and Northwest took down Page by multiple touchdowns a few weeks back…Good measuring stick??? One of the few that sticks…Page had problems handling that Northwest running game, and Southeast Guilford has a very steady run game too, with RBs Ian McKinnon and Teriq McLaughlin, plus QB Alexander Marsh…Marsh a very good runner…Page did not have fresh QB Zamari Williamson last week vs. Grimsley, and Page starting RB Jesse Poole missed the game too, due to injury…Page will need these two back, in order to beat SEG…If SEG can grab the victory at Marion Kirby Stadium, that should put the SEG Falcons in the playoffs…Page would only be at (4-6) with the win, and they look for the five win teams for most of the playoff brackets…Want to at least finish at half-and-half, in wins and losses…This is one of those pivotal games right here…A key for Page might just be LB/RB Christian Brown…

Southwest Guilford(1-8/0-6) at Northwest Guilford(7-2/4-2) 7:30pm
We see NWG rolling in this contest, with the Vikings QB Mitchell Anders working hard to continue to solidify his leadership of the Vikings’ ship…Mitchell can run and throw, and he has targets Rakem Hammock and Quincy Bell Jr., plus Mitchell’s brother Austin Mitchell on the outside…Good group of receivers, but Northwest is even better at running the ball, with Nathan Cox assuming the lead-dog runner’s spot in recent weeks…McKinnly Vance is becoming about as well-known if not better than J.D. Vance, and that NWG at RB can also run Easton Dean right at the opposing defenses…Good O-LINE and NWG is on it, in a hurry at the RL Billings Stadium, there on the Northwest Guilford campus…I do not see NWG playing around in this game…Their plan will be get on SWG early, and finish off the SWG Cowboys before halftime…And it will be done…SWG’s top player is Robert Orr, and SWG’s top defensive lineman from last Rob Lange, is now with the NWG Vikings…SWG has too many Vikings to tame, to make this one work, and to us, the task looks too tall for the SWG Cowboys…

Western Guilford(4-5/1-5) at Ragsdale(3-6/1-5) 7:30pm
This could become a war in Jamestown tonight, there at the Kenneth Miller Stadium, on the Lucy B. Ragsdale High School campus…I saw the Ragsdale Tigers out there practicing in the dark, back on Wednesday night…No car lights, no cell phone lights, just good old fashioned darkness…For Ragsdale it is Fabian Diggs at running back, and if it was us calling the shots, we would give Diggs the ball 30-35 times in this game…And even at that, it will still be tough for Ragsdale, to beat Western Guilford…WG has that three-headed monster with Timothy Baker, Elijah Hayes, and QB Caleb Moore moving the offense, and last week, Hayes should he pays attention, and he was carrying the biggest load for the WG Hornets, vs. the NG Nighthawks…More weapons on offense for the WG Hornets…WG can not let the RHS Tigers hang around, and let Ragsdale stay in this game…If the Hornets want that elusive win #5, they must make it all jive, tonight in Jamestown…

McMichael(1-8/0-5) at High Point Andrews(3-6/0-5) 7:30pm
If High Point Andrews falls in this game, it might signal Smoke Signals going up over in High Point…The Andrews Red Raiders have now lost six straight games…Won their first three, to start out at (3-0), and they haven’t won a game since back in the first week of September….Tonight on the field, there at Simeon Stadium, in High Point…

Harrells Christian Academy(6-3) at High Point Christian Academy(9-0) 7pm
Tyler Eley at QB, Jaylen Moore and Danarius Gibson at RB, and Toot Clay at WR….A mean mix of force, from these young, but BIG kids…HPAC loaded for bear, and week-one of playoffs brewing here….
