In front of a packed house at Greensboro Day School, Saint Pius X Middle School Girls edge out Greensboro Day in a back and forth game that went down to the wire.
With Greensboro Day leading 23-19, after an Eloise White three pointer with just two minutes remaining, Saint Pius Girls got back to back stops and scored to tie it up at 23.
The Comets scored the next six points of the game going a perfect 6-6 from the line to seal the win .
Saint Pius was lead by 7th grader Olivia Williams with 12 pts, 8th grader Claire Curran with 9 pts, 8th grader MK Suire with 5 pts and 8th grader Bridget Schwab with a game high 9 rebs.
Greensboro Day School was lead by 8th grader Eloise White with 10 pts and 7th grader Lila Montana with 6.
The two schools will face off again in January at Saint Pius.
